The SP leadership meeting ended after about 30 minutes of discussions. Prime Minister Edi Rama left the headquarters after talking with the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci.
During the meeting, it was discussed about strengthening communication with the party's grassroots structures. Rama has requested greater engagement in the field, calling on the leaders to hold direct meetings with the citizens. Sources within the PS indicate that elections are expected to be held within the party's structures this year. As Rama previously announced at the parliamentary group meeting in March, a broad dialogue will be launched with socialist members and supporters.
A day earlier, the head of government submitted to the Head of State, Bajram Begaj, the proposals for the latest changes in the cabinet, during a meeting held at the Brigades Palace. Former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who, in addition to being a member of the presidency, also holds the position of political leader of the Fier region, was also present at the meeting. On the other hand, according to sources, the date of the National Assembly of the Socialist Party has not yet been announced at this meeting.
