In the afternoon session in the Albanian Parliament, Democratic Party MP Manjola Luku raised the alarm about a possible danger to Albania, publicly asking the government what security measures have been taken in the face of a possible threat from Iran.
During her speech, Luku referred to an article published by the Azerbaijani portal Caliber.az, which reported that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) may consider an attack on Camp Ashraf-3 in Manz, where the headquarters of the People's Mujahedin Organization of Iran (MEK) is located.
The MP demanded transparency from Prime Minister Edi Rama and the security institutions, asking whether there is official information on such a threat and whether concrete measures have been taken to protect the territory and citizens.
As of the time of reporting, there has been no official reaction from the Albanian government regarding the allegations published by the Azerbaijani media.
