Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, speaking from the doors of SPAK, justified himself regarding the throwing of Molotov cocktails at the former Enver villa in the former Bllok, claiming that he was unaware that there were people inside the building.
"I feel sorry for those foreigners who were there and I assure them that they were not objects. I did not know that they were there. I feel sorry for them, it should not have happened in any way. I found out after asking and they told me that it had been turned into a cultural center. Enver Hoxha's villa as a cultural center is a great insult to over 7 thousand executed. It could have been a torture museum," Berisha declared.
After opposition protesters threw Molotov cocktails at the Enver villa, the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, was dismissed from his post.
