The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, called on Albanians to participate in the May 12 protest in front of the Parliament. Speaking to the media outside the Parliament, he stated that the goal of the protest will be the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Given that the protest coincides with the plenary session on the same day, Berisha did not provide details on whether there will also be a protest by opposition MPs within Parliament.
"Albanians should gather on March 12 for the resignation of Edi Rama, every protest will have this objective. I invite Albanians to continue our battle for his removal, because it is the season of overthrowing dictatorships and dictators, but here in Albania we will do it ourselves. The time will be set," he said.
