The conflict in the Middle East seems to have engaged politicians in Albania to provide their opinions to our strategic ally, the US. On the side of the majority, it has been the prime minister, who, under the guise of a "global leader", has given his suggestions on how the conflict should proceed.
But the opposition has not been left behind either, which initially reacted through MP Tritan Shehu, known as one of the most zealous voices when it comes to support for the US, while Xhelal Mziu has now also given his opinion.
In a reaction on Facebook, Mziu expressed his concern about the Strait of Hormuz, about which he did not hesitate to advise President Donald Trump.
At the beginning, the Democratic MP writes that "the escalation of the conflict would pose a risk to global economic stability and the normal functioning of international trade."
Afterwards, the former mayor of Kamza also provides information on this channel and its importance, emphasizing that around 20% of global oil passes through it and that any tension would lead to an increase in oil prices, a slowdown in economic growth, and fluctuations in financial markets.
We hope that the valuable advice of MP Xhelal Mziu will fall on the right ear. However, it would be good if he did not forget the potholed roads in the Dibër region. As a political leader, he often had to travel by horse in those areas. Therefore, it would be more important to raise the numerous concerns of the residents he represents, since for global conflicts, Prime Minister Edi Rama and MP Tritan Shehu are enough.
