Former Democratic MP, Ervin Salianji, says that Democrats are disappointed with the way the DP is organizing the protests.
In an interview with A2 CNN, Salianji criticized the party leadership for a lack of strategy, as according to him, the sacrifice of citizens is absolute.
"They are a series of protests where the sacrifice of citizens is absolute, but the leadership's direction is headless and not strategic. What strategy was the tour at the Small Ring Road? Since the Democratic Party is not opening up and is not being renewed through protests, it seems as if their recycling is being sought," he said.
According to him, the protest did not have a clear message, while fireworks and Molotov cocktails became the main topic.
"I went out to protest to quell rumors that I don't support the opposition. But the protest had no message; the focus was on fireworks and Molotov cocktails. If there is going to be a clash, it should be with the biggest one, with the prime minister, so in front of the Prime Minister's Office," said Salianji.
He emphasized that the use of Molotov cocktails demotivates some citizens and makes the DP less attractive.
"Throwing Molotov cocktails works in Edi Rama's favor. It shifts attention and creates the impression that the problem is the Molotov cocktails and not the government's scandals," he concluded.
