The leader of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, is continuing his protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, sitting on a chair. Although he attempted to set up tents the night before, the police intervened and did not allow him.
In a video posted on the social network Facebook, Lapaj writes that the number of participants is increasing, but in reality the majority seem to be sympathizers of his party and not ordinary citizens.
The leader of the movement has stated that the protest aims to denounce what he considers an attack on justice and constitutional institutions by the government. He demands the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the withdrawal of influence over the justice system, accusing officials of corruption and economic mismanagement.
Although it has chosen a symbolic form of protest, sitting in a chair day and night, it seems that it is failing to ignite the desired "spark" to promote civic mobilization and draw attention to the social crisis and the lack of accountability from the government.
