Two days ago, the mayor of Erseka, Erion Isai, was taken into custody by SPAK. Journalist Klodiana Lala revealed on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV the accusations against Isai, which are related to the Korça-Ersekë road and a water supply in Korça, and said that the prosecution also has conversations between superiors and subordinates about these.
"It is a report about the Korça-Ersekë road, because this road has collapsed several times and there have been problems with increasing costs.
Mr. Isai is accused of the criminal offense of “violation of equality in tenders” and 7 other officials and a representative of the company that won the tender have also been charged. One has to do with the Korça-Ersekë road in favor of the winning company and the other has to do with the construction of a water supply in the Korça area. Mr. Isai has been charged and the charges have been communicated to him along with the other persons. The other part for misuse of power, falsification of documents and corruption, have been separated and the investigation for this part is ongoing.
