SPAK completes investigations and begins communicating official charges against defendants in the case of cocaine trafficking from Latin America to Albania.
The separation of cocaine from the cattle hides where it had been digested would be done in a laboratory in the Qereka area of Kruja. 48 tons of cattle hides arrived in Albania in September and November and it is suspected that they also contained cocaine. During the checks in the Qereka laboratory at that time, 850 salted cattle hides were found. Foreign nationals who were specialized would come to separate the narcotic substance from the hides. SPAK signed 10 arrest warrants, including 3 foreigners, but the latter were not arrested.
