The body of Floresha Prengu, a 35-year-old woman of Albanian origin, has been found in Trento, more than two months after she went missing. Italian media reports that the Albanian woman's body was found about 40 km from her home along the Adige River.
According to local newspapers, the body was found around the beginning of this week, but family members later identified her body.
Floresha, a mother of two girls, had not been heard from since the morning of October 22, when she left home early for work but did not return until 5 p.m., her scheduled return time. Her husband alerted the police and immediately launched a comprehensive search operation, both in the mountains and in the rivers, involving firefighters, divers and helicopters.
The 35-year-old, who worked as a cleaner in several buildings and had lost her father shortly before her disappearance, had left home with only her phone.
"She loves her daughters; she would never have left them," said her friends, relatives and husband. No one had ever noticed signs of illness. No further details were given about the cause of death or the circumstances of her discovery.
