Lul Berisha, Orges Molla, Juxhin Koka, two Brazilian citizens and a Venezuelan citizen are among 15 high-risk prisoners who were transferred in the early morning hours of January 15, 2026 from Durrës Prison to Peqin IEVP, the high-security prison.
The operation was carried out shortly after midnight, under extreme security measures and accompanied by dozens of police vehicles. According to sources, strict protocols were implemented, while the movement was kept in complete secrecy. The convoy arrived at the Peqin Penitentiary Institution at around 00:15.
The decision to transfer convicts and detainees with high criminal profiles came after the escape of Altin Ndoc from Durres Hospital, an event that forced the authorities to take urgent measures and reorganize the penitentiary security system.
Durrës Prison, also known as the "VIP prison", came under the spotlight due to its conditions and level of security, prompting the relocation of the most dangerous elements to an institution with a stronger security regime.
