Following the escape of prisoner Altin Ndoci from the Durrës Regional Hospital the day before, another incident occurred at the Burreli High Security Prison.
According to an audio recording posted on the Instagram profile of convict Fatmir Pjetri, convicted as part of the group known as “Babagjyshët”, he has accused the General Directorate of Prisons of discrimination. Pjetri claims that he was not allowed to promote his book, “Jetë e murdashme”, due to its content that includes acts of violence.
Following the publication of the audio recording, the Directorate of the High Security Prison in Burrel has ordered a thorough search of Pjetri's cell, and it is suspected that the audio recording was made inside the cell with a mobile phone. The results of the search are expected to be announced in the coming hours.
