The Court of Special Appeals upholds the seizure order on the assets of Argita and Jamarbër Malltezi.
"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of Judge Engert Pëllumbi, today on 16.01.2026, announced the decision on criminal case no. 13, date 07.01.2026 registration, registered on the appeal of the appellants AM and JM, with the subject: "Appeal against decision no. 662 act, date 27.10.2025 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, on the lifting of preventive seizure", and decided:
"Approval of decision no. 662 Act, dated 27.10.2025 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime," the court's announcement states.
Jamarbër Malltezi is being tried for corruption and money laundering in connection with the Partizani case. He is being tried together with his father-in-law, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, and several other defendants.
