
A serious incident occurred today around noon in Tetovo, where one person lost his life and four others were injured after an exchange of fire between two vehicles. According to the official report of the Tetovo SPB, the incident occurred at 12:30, at the intersection of “Ilinden” street and “Bllagoja Toska” street, where people from two vehicles opened fire on each other. As a result, a traffic accident also occurred, after which both vehicles left the scene: one in the direction of the “113” street and the other in an unknown direction.
From the testimonies of citizens and eyewitnesses, it has been learned that one of the vehicles is a "Ford Fiesta" with Tetovo license plates, which were deregistered. The vehicle is owned by EM (19) from the village of Gajre in Tetovo.
During the checks, the police found another vehicle, a “Volkswagen Golf” with Tetovo license plates, at the intersection of “Bllagoja Toska” and “107” streets, owned by FR (46) from Tetovo. Inside this vehicle, a lifeless person with gunshot wounds was found. An investigation team led by the acting public prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecution Office in Tetovo and an inspection team from the Tetovo Police Station intervened at the scene. Meanwhile, three injured people were initially taken to the Tetovo Clinical Hospital. Among them was a minor girl from Tetovo, with gunshot wounds, who was kept under observation. Two other injured people, OO (34) and RT, were transferred in an emergency condition for further treatment to the “Mother Teresa” Clinic Complex in Skopje. A pedestrian, AS (60) from Tetovo, who happened to be at the scene, was also injured in the shooting and was also transferred to Skopje for treatment.
The Tetova Clinical Hospital has announced that at around 12:20 they received four patients with various bodily injuries:
AS, 60 years old – fracture in the leg;
RT, 37 years old – foreign body in the thoracic region;
DR, 12 years old – foreign body in the femur;
OO, 32 years old – foreign body in the chest area.
After examinations and treatment according to emergency protocols, all four patients were transferred to the University Clinic in Skopje for specialized care. The Tetovo SPB has stated that intensive measures are being taken to fully clarify the case and identify the persons involved in this serious incident.
