The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Kukës has executed the order for the confiscation of assets belonging to the family of Fatjon Dautaj. The latter is known as the armed right-hand man of the Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, after he was filmed kicking down the door of the DP headquarters, in the rebellion of December 21, 2021, in the battle within the party itself, as the next protest of the "Reestablishment" faction was taking place.
The Kukës Prosecutor's Office announced today that following its request on September 20, 2024, it has confiscated three assets of Fatjon Dauti and his family, which include an apartment, a commercial unit and a plot of land. It is suspected that these assets of Dauti and his family have their origin in criminal activity.
Dauti, arrested in London, accused of attempted murder. Known as a supporter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Dauti has fallen into police custody in England, after being caught with 3 kg of cocaine and participating in criminal activity, while he has also been accused and arrested for attempted murder.
Previously, Dauti was also under investigation by the National Crime Agency in England for the criminal offenses of "Drug Trafficking" and "Money Laundering".
NOTICE
At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Kukës, the assets of the family members of citizen FD were confiscated under the charge of the criminal offense "Laundering of proceeds of criminal offense or criminal activity" provided for by Article 287 of the Criminal Code.
This citizen, arrested by the London Metropolitan Police for the criminal offense of "Attempted Murder", has also been under investigation by the National Crime Agency in England for the criminal offenses of "Drug Trafficking" and "Money Laundering".
After seizing the assets of the citizen in question, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës confiscated the following assets:
- Property of the type "Unit" with an area of 100m2;
- Property of the type "Plot" with an area of 64m2 and a "building" of 64m2; and
- Property no. 7/285-N3, with an area of 30m2.
