The Brussels prosecutor's office issued a third wanted notice on Monday in the investigation into a murder committed on April 28, 2024 in Schaerbeek. The victim, a 44-year-old man of Albanian nationality, was sitting on the terrace of the Xhoni café on Joseph Brand Street in Schaerbeek when the suspect opened fire. He was shot in the chest and head, and died in hospital on May 6, 2024. According to Sudinfo, he is suspected of being the victim of a revenge attack.
In May 2024, the Brussels prosecutor's office had distributed a wanted notice with a picture of the suspect. He was wearing a dark suit with a red stripe on the shoulders, a white logo on the chest, a hat and a hood. He appeared to be walking on his feet and fled towards Rue Ernest Laude.
In December, a new wanted notice was issued for another man, about 1.80 meters tall and of average build. He had a thin face, dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing dark gray jeans and a black hooded jacket.
This time, police are looking for a heavily built man wearing dark gray jeans, a black hoodie and a black hat. His role in the incident has not been specified.
