Following the arrest of Rakip Gila, as the suspected perpetrator of the Shkodra massacre, with two people killed and two injured, the police have charged the 28-year-old with murder under other qualifying circumstances, armed robbery, destruction of property and illegal possession of weapons.
At the time of his arrest, two firearms were seized from him, 1 automatic and 1 pistol with a cartridge in the chamber, 1 diving suit, 1 mask, 1 bulletproof vest, and 1 1.5 liter bottle filled with gasoline.
Gila told investigators after his arrest that he acted alone and that his goal was to execute Erogen Vaso Brajović, with whom he had a personal grudge, as he threatened him and presented himself as strong.
But investigators believe that the crime was ordered by a criminal group and that Gila did not act alone.
This Tuesday, the police announced that they have declared Barush alias Bajram Bregun and a 17-year-old suspected of being collaborators of Gila, a former convict on probation, wanted.
In the apartment where they were staying in the Guerrile neighborhood, 7 firearms, 45 detonator capsules and live ammunition were found. Barush Bregu, Gila's associate, and the 17-year-old were charged with "creating conditions to commit murder", "unauthorized possession and production of explosive weapons and ammunition" and "theft".
The police also searched the homes of members of the Lici tribe, opponents of the Bajri group, after Erogen Brajović turned out to be a connection to the latter, and an arsenal of weapons was discovered in the house of Ibrahim Lici's aunt.
The woman lived abroad, but police said the house was used as a base by the wanted men.
"During the search, 1 automatic firearm and 6 pistol firearms, a quantity of combat ammunition, 45 electric detonator capsules, an "Audi" type vehicle with stolen license plates in the city of Lezha, 5 drones of various sizes, additional equipment for drones, 1 laptop and 5 cameras were discovered," the police said.
On Monday morning, Ragip Gila opened fire on the premises of a bar next to the Shkodra Municipality, killing Armando Palin, a former IMT employee, and Lirodon Kraja Lushi, while leaving Erogen Vaso Brajovic and the bar's waitress injured.
The target of the crime is suspected to be Erogen Vaso Brajović, the brother of Denis Vaso Brajović, the latter a member of the Bajri criminal group, a defendant in the Metamorfosis case, for murder and other serious crimes.
