This is Barush Bregu alias Bajram Bregu, one of Ibrahim Lici's trusted men, a sworn enemy of Bajram, who has been on the run for years. Bregu was declared wanted by the police along with a 17-year-old as they are suspected of being collaborators of Ragip Gila, the 28-year-old who carried out the Shkodra massacre with two killed and two injured.
Bregu has been charged with "creating conditions to commit murder" and "unlicensed possession of weapons." In fact, he is a well-known name and has previously been on the police record. In 2016, Barush Bregu was sentenced to 4 years in prison for drug and illegal possession of weapons.
In 2018, his fingerprints were discovered on a weapon among an arsenal found in the bases of the Lici group, which were raided after the murder of Fatbardh Lici, the uncle of Ibrahim Lici. SPAK accuses Safet, Behar Bajri and Astmer Bilali of the murder of Fatbardh Lici.
In March 2019, Ibrahim and Astrit Bilali, the father and uncle of Astmer Bilali, were executed in Shkodra, and suspicion fell on Ibrahim Lici, while Barush Bregu was suspected of being an accomplice, but there were no official charges against Lici.
In 2024, Barush Bregu escaped police pursuit after crashing his official vehicle and fleeing. He is suspected of being involved in serious crimes and is currently considered Ibrahim Lici's right-hand man.
