The investigative show "Në Shënjestër" published the results of the analysis of three vehicles that were allegedly used in the kidnapping and murder of Reni Dobrë from the village of Zenisht i Mat.
According to the materials made public, citizen Fation Bushgjokaj showed up on July 10 to hand over the Range Rover vehicle, this time alone, without the presence of his brother Aleksandar, and requested that the dealer remove the GPS device from the vehicle. A day later, he returned to hand over the other vehicle rented on July 5, a Volkswagen Golf 7.
Immediately after the identification of the Range Rover vehicle, suspected of being involved in the criminal incident, the vehicle was seized and sent to the Tirana Police Directorate, where it underwent specialized expertise. During the examination, hair strands, fingerprints, used water cans, and a green-colored residue were found, for which a chemical expertise was ordered to determine the possible biological composition.
The Volkswagen Golf 7 vehicle, with license plate AB 741 RB, was also subjected to examination, where a plastic canister, a transparent adhesive, hair on the front passenger seat and fingerprints were found.
Meanwhile, the investigation team also tracked down another vehicle, a white Hyundai Santa Fe, which is suspected of having accompanied the black Range Rover, as well as the victim's car, throughout the evening of the crime.
The Mercedes Benz vehicle, driven by Renis Dobra, after being pulled out of the lake, was found to have no illegal items. Inside, only the vehicle documents, the victim's identity card, and the testimony of taxi driver Rufat Dobra, Renis Dobra's father, were found, placed on the dashboard.
According to the investigation file, the Range Rover vehicle with license plate AA 333 RM, the Volkswagen Golf 7 vehicle with license plate AB 741 RB, as well as the rental documentation for the Mercedes Benz GLK vehicle with license plate AB 321 JC were seized as material evidence. The Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle with license plate AB 699 GH and the Volkswagen Jetta vehicle with license plate AB 478 TN, both white, were also seized.
All of these vehicles turned out to have been rented by citizen Petrit Hoxha, born on April 10, 1970.
In the testimony given to the investigative group, the manager of the vehicle rental entity, citizen ET, stated that Petrit Hoxha had rented the Mercedes Benz GLK, Hyundai Santa Fe and Volkswagen Jetta vehicles for the period from July 3 to July 13, 2025, presenting identification documents and signing the relevant contracts according to the rules.
Petrit Hoxha is a well-known name to public opinion and justice, as his name has previously been mentioned in connection with the murder of MP Azem Hajdari.
According to the file, on July 3, 2025, Hoxha rented a Mercedes Benz GLK. On July 8, 2025, the same day as the kidnapping and murder of Renis Dobra, he returned to exchange this vehicle for a white Hyundai Santa Fe, a vehicle that is suspected of accompanying the victim's vehicle. Just a few hours later, at 00:45 on July 9, Hoxha also surrendered this car, exchanging it for a Volkswagen Jetta.
The representative of the car rental company stated that Petrit Hoxha was a regular customer and therefore was not asked for a prepayment, as he had promised that payment would be made upon delivery of the vehicle on July 13, 2025.
Regarding the Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle, the subject's representative stated that after being handed over by Hoxha, the vehicle was rented to a foreign citizen, who was in Saranda at the time.
