The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of the members of the structured criminal group led by Admir Murataj that carried out the mega-robbery at Rinas Airport on April 9, 2019. As a result, it remains in force with 122 years of imprisonment for the seven defendants.
Specifically, 20 years in prison for Klement Çala and 17 years each for Oltion Veseli, Ronaldo Sulaj, Saimir Çala, Oltion Pikli, Alkon Bengasi and Eldi Çala. The criminal group led by Admir Murataj entered the Rinas runway and stole 4.6 million euros on board an airplane.
The police pursued them and during the exchange of fire, the leader of the group, Admir Murataj, was killed. Talo Çela, today one of the most talked about names in the underworld, is still being sought. The incident was also solved thanks to the confession of the repentant Alkond Bengasi.
