SPAK is putting the Albanian Parliament in motion and is demanding that several state-related documents be submitted to it related to the violent events of January 21.
According to VNA sources, the letter arrived at the Parliament today and the documents requested by special prosecutor Alfred Shehu are considered state secrets.
This concerns correspondence between security institutions and the Parliament before, during and after the January 21 protest.
SPAK considers these documents essential for the investigation.
The Assembly has been informed that the materials must be kept in complete secrecy due to their importance.
On January 21, 2011, during an opposition protest, 4 protesters were killed in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Three days earlier, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was questioned in connection with this incident.
