Heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours has caused significant problems in several areas of the country.
The Rrëshen-Bukmir road axis in Mirdita has been severely damaged, with major collapses in several segments, making traffic difficult for residents of the Kaçinar Administrative Unit. Authorities are monitoring the situation, as the damage could risk blocking the road.
In the Novosela area, the Vjosa River has reached a critical level due to continuous flows during the night. As a result, the river has overflowed its bed near the Mifoli bridge. However, authorities say that the road axis is unobstructed and remains passable.
The torrential rains have also caused the flooding of about 50 hectares of agricultural land in the Maliqi area. The swelling of the Dunavec River, especially where it joins the Devoll River, has worsened the situation. The flooded lands are located in the area of the former Maliqi swamp, while drainage workers have been working since yesterday to keep the situation under control.
There were also problems on the Maliq-Gramsh national road, where in the village of Lozhan the road was blocked for several hours by debris, but the situation normalized this morning and traffic continues without obstacles.
Authorities and emergency services are continuing to monitor flooded areas and possible road accidents, while citizens are urged to be careful when moving on these roads and near rivers.
