SPAK has completed the investigations and sent for trial two inspectors of the State Technical Industrial Inspectorate, Olsi Jarazi and Luan Sadikaj, as well as the administrator of a private business, who are accused of corruption.
In the request for trial, the defendants are:
Julian Suljoti, administrator of the private entity "Ansoil sh.a" in Korça, accused of active corruption of persons exercising public functions;
Olsi Jarazi, current inspector of ISHTI, and
Luan Sadikaj, former ISHTI inspector, accused of passive corruption, committed in collaboration.
The investigations, conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) using special methods, revealed that on November 1, 2021, Jarazi and Sadikaj received 900,000 lek and 10,000 dollars from Suljoti. The amount was given to them to avoid punishing the private entity, which was operating without the necessary technical documentation and license.
The criminal proceedings were initially registered by the Korça Prosecutor's Office and then transferred to SPAK, which completed the investigations and submitted the case for trial to the Special Court of First Instance.
