Sali Berisha is once again avoiding SPAK by trying not to give evidence about the events of January 21, 2011, where during the opposition demonstration of the time, 4 citizens were killed on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard.
SPAK notified him for the third time to appear on Friday, November 21, to testify as a person in knowledge. The summons was communicated to him when Berisha appeared at the Special Prosecution Office for the security measure "compulsory appearance" for the Partizani file.
SPAK officially said that the former prime minister signed the summons. However, a few hours later, Berisha informed the special prosecution that he would be visiting abroad on Friday and therefore requested that a new date be set for him.
Berisha refused two previous subpoenas by not providing evidence for the killings of 4 protesters, opening a new front of conflict with the special prosecution.
But will Sali Berisha be able to avoid facing SPAK prosecutors for the January 21 murders?
