The absence of lawyer Kujtim Cakrani caused the postponement of the preliminary hearing for former President of the Republic Ilir Meta, his ex-wife Monika Kryemadhi and their three associates. Meta is being tried on charges of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. The next hearing was postponed to November 27, while the former president, who has been in custody since October 2024, continues to face the courts for the lifting of the security measure.
