The Tirana Prosecution Office has brought Hekuran Gjoni to trial, accused of the murder of his son Asim Gjoni. The prosecution says that during the investigation it was discovered that on February 1, 2025, Hekuran Gjoni was involved in an argument with his son, who during the conflict was hit with a cutting tool, losing his life from a wound to the left hip.
During questioning, Hekurani stated that the boy had verbally abused him during the meal, making him angry. He admitted that he had initially slapped him, but then the boy had grabbed him by the clothes. At this moment, the daughter of the family intervened, who clashed with her son. According to the father, this situation angered him so much that he grabbed a knife and stabbed the boy once in the stomach.
The forensic examination confirmed that Asim's body had a penetrating cut wound on the left side of the chest, with damage to the lungs and heart, as well as wounds to the fingers of both hands. The cause of death was determined to be severe traumatic hemorrhagic shock.
