
The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has found three people guilty of the criminal offense of exercising unlawful influence over persons exercising public functions.
The trial was conducted in a shortened procedure, following the request of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK). With today's decision, the court has imposed prison sentences for the three defendants:
Musa Gjikola was initially sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, but due to the summary trial, the sentence was reduced to 1 year in prison.
Erjon Dani was found guilty of two episodes of exercising unlawful influence and was ultimately sentenced to 2 years in prison, while he was found not guilty of the charge of abuse of office.
Vilson Roçi was convicted of two episodes of exercising unlawful influence and, after the sentences were combined and reduced for summary judgment, was ultimately sentenced to 1 year in prison.
Also, for the three convicted, the sentence will be calculated from the date of arrest, July 11, 2025, and they will be placed in a regular security prison. The court also decided that procedural and judicial costs will be paid by the persons found guilty.
