Henrik Hoxhaj's testimony in the GJKKO: He recounts the conflict with Ismet

Henrik Hoxhaj continues his testimony at the GJKKO in the context of the "Golden Bullet" case. He explained the conflict with Ismet Boriç.

"The conflict occurred in 1999–2000. A childhood friend of mine had problems with the Boriçi brothers. In 2004, while I was running home, I was wounded by 3 bullets. Ismet Boriçi wounded the brother of Viron Kallanxhiu, my childhood friend, who is now in prison.

"The Boric people are a big tribe. A pointless, unrelated situation was created, 'why are you looking at me'. He pulled out his gun, I grabbed it by the barrel. He shot me. I ran away and someone caught me there," said Henrik Hoxhaj.

He continued: "I wanted to finish the job, to kill him. He shot me."

In 2018, I had taken a stolen Renault car and a Glock pistol. I also told Skerdi about the conversation, he was more or less aware of everything. He agreed and we got things ready, waiting for him. 3-4 times a day we drove around his property to observe him. We saw the brothers in our vehicle. Skerdi shot from inside, but his gun jammed. They caught us, as our car had black windows. The bullets, when they hit the glass, get stuck and in the end they only got a light scratch. My goal was to get revenge for the injury they caused me," he continued.

The repentant explained that: "I shot from the steering wheel with a pistol, while Skerdi shot from the passenger seat with an automatic. We had the weapons in the car. We always kept them with us in the striking vehicle, the Renault, so that when we saw them, we could hit them directly, not 'I saw them and I didn't hit them'."

"We had found a pair of Greek license plates, which Skerdi had found. I saw the car in the newspaper. The purpose of taking the plates was so that the vehicle would not move without plates."

Prosecutor Behar Dibra asked about the location where the attack took place.

"This guy has a bar at the New Gymnasium and a three-story house. They were sitting alone at the table. I don't know who was inside, maybe there were people. They smelled it, because our vehicle had black windows and foreign license plates. Now they have problems with me too. If a car comes in front of me, I'll leave."

"Skerdi fired 2 bullets and then his gun jammed. They entered the bar and then ran home. We didn't get out of the car. We had the guns at home, they were left there."
