For the third day in a row, residents of the village of Baks-Rrjoll in Velipojë have continued their protest against the construction of a tourist resort in the area, which they declare was granted in violation of the law and in an abusive manner.
During today's protest, there was also a clash between residents and law enforcement, resulting in one protester losing consciousness (as seen in the main photo).
At least 60 families are demanding a halt to the works, and this is not the first time these residents have protested.
There was also a rally yesterday, where there was no shortage of accusations and tensions, while residents say they will not back down from their legal demands.
"We have been waiting for an ambulance for 15 minutes. Our lands were occupied, we have ownership certificates. The company is working even though we are still in court. We are not stopping the protest, we want our rights," they say.
They warned of an escalation of the situation with roadblocks and a protest in front of SPAK.
