
Three wanted persons were arrested by the Special Operations Force. Kledis Shermadhi, Ardit Mehdiu and Emiseldo Fasko ended up in handcuffs.
The three wanted men were identified and arrested in Fier for the purpose of extradition to Italy.
"These citizens were declared internationally wanted, after the Court of Rimini, Italy, assigned them the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Criminal organization" and "Drug trafficking". Maximum sentence: 10 years in prison.
"They are accused of having purchased large quantities of drugs during the period June-December 2024, in collaboration with each other and other citizens, with the aim of selling them in the city of Rimini," the police announced.
Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, is continuing the procedures for their extradition to Italy.
