The Special Court decided to leave unchanged the security measure of "prison arrest" for Dorian Beu, arrested two days ago on Mount Tomorri.
Bey is accused of "production and sale of narcotics" and participation in a "structured criminal group", while the measure against him was previously set in March 2023.
In the courtroom, through his lawyer Andi Hasanaj, Beu requested a mitigation of the measure, claiming that the same criminal act was also being processed by the Italian authorities. He was arrested in Italy in October 2023 and was placed under "house arrest", while as of December 2023 the investigation in the neighboring country continues at large.
The investigation into Bey and other persons suspected of being members of the criminal group was conducted by a joint Albanian-Italian investigative team.
