
More details have emerged from the tragic accident of the previous night, where the two Dhimaku sisters lost their lives in Saranda. According to reports, the incident that occurred last night in the area known as Pularia, occurred due to speeding and alcohol consumption by one of the drivers.
Kevi Norra, the 23-year-old who caused the tragic accident, after the alcohol test, it turned out that Norra, who works as a specialist at the Ministry of Interior, was driving the Audi vehicle while intoxicated. Saranda Police announced that the first alcohol test showed a level of 1.52 mg/l, while the second test showed 1.42 mg/l.
While attempting a wrong overtaking maneuver, his vehicle collided head-on with a "Lancia" car carrying three girls. The collision resulted in the deaths of two sisters, Elvisa and Rozina Dhimaku, aged 22 and 20 respectively.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Antolena Zhupa was also injured in the accident. The latter is in the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where she is receiving medical treatment and is out of danger.
The 23-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto and is charged with "Violation of traffic rules" and "Irregular driving."
