A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing the accident in Delvina that killed the two Dhimani sisters and seriously injured their friend. The driver was under the influence of alcohol.

•Specialists of the Urban and Interurban Traffic Section of Saranda arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen KN, 23 years old, resident of Fier, for the criminal offenses of “Violation of traffic rules” and “Driving vehicles in an irregular manner”. This citizen, on 24.08.2025, at around 20:15, on the Delvinë-Saranda road axis, while driving an “Audi” type vehicle, in a drunken state (from the verifications carried out at the scene it resulted: the first alcohol test at a level of 1.52 mg/l, while the second test at a level of 1.42 mg/l), collided with a “Lancia” type vehicle, driven by citizen E. Dh., 22 years old. As a result of the accident, citizens E. Dh., 22 years old, and R. Dh., 20 years old, lost their lives, while citizen A. Zh., 24 years old, was seriously injured and is under the care of doctors.
