A fire has caused panic in a block of flats near Palmave Boulevard in Lushnja, after an electrical panel exploded. The incident occurred in the afternoon and resulted in an immediate power outage in the entire building, including the elevators.
The flames, which engulfed electrical cables and plastic materials, produced thick smoke, making it difficult for the fire department and police to intervene. Emergency teams were immediately called in to evacuate and rescue residents still in the apartments.
Despite the difficult situation, the fire was brought under control in a relatively short time. Several residents who were exposed to the thick smoke were transported to Lushnja Hospital for medical attention, but fortunately no loss of life was reported.
