Residents of Tërpan, in Poliçan, went out in protest today, blocking the Tërpan-Përmet national road for about an hour.
The reason for the reaction was the construction of the Tërpan-Ballaban-Përmet axis, which according to them has blocked and narrowed the entrance road to the village. Residents say that they cannot freely enter their homes with vehicles or enter the olive plantations with agricultural equipment.
They also point out that the works have blocked drainage channels, causing flooding in the residential area. The protesters appeal to the institutions for immediate intervention, in order to open the village road and guarantee normal access for residents and farmers.
Another concern raised by residents is related to the quality of the works. Although the road has not yet been fully paved, the paved segments so far have suffered cracks along their entire length and in some parts even landslides.
