
The Special Appeals Court sentenced Blendi Teta to 25 years in prison for collaborating in the murder of former police officer Santiago Malko.
The decision was made this Thursday after reviewing the criminal file, which had been returned by the Supreme Court.
Teta was found guilty of charges of "premeditated murder" committed in collaboration within a structured criminal group and "structured criminal group".
Santiago Malko was the most trusted man of Ervis Martinaj, the gambling boss who has been missing without a trace since August 2022.
The Duka clan, which was at enmity with Martinaj, after failing to kill the latter, executed his loyalist, Malko.
Alongside Blendi the Eighth, Leonard Duka, the head of the Duka clan, and several other defendants are being tried in separate trials. According to SPAK, Fatmir Hyseni alias Musai, known as Docja, acted as the executioner.
