A day after the arrest of Nevzat Spaho, a person considered key to the assassination attempt on businessman Mondi Mëhalla in Elbasan, he continues to withhold details on the progress of the investigation. So far, none of the arrested have agreed to provide valuable information to the investigative group.
On Friday, the victim's former partner, Xhino Ago, and a gas station guard, Kujtim Pisha, are expected to appear before the jury, where they will be briefed on security measures. Pisha is accused of failing to report a crime and in a preliminary testimony he stated that he did not notify the police in time due to fear of the incident.
In addition to Spaho, Ago and the guard Pisha, the police also arrested Naldo Gjini from Lezha, who had been seen in recent days driving an “Audi” type vehicle. This vehicle is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators in the execution of the 43-year-old and is owned by the victim’s business, which offered rental cars. After the crime, the vehicle was found burned in the village of Miraka, where a firearm was also found.
Meanwhile, the search continues for Marcelo Arani and Armando Kola, both identified by the police as the suspected perpetrators of the businessman's murder.
