The indictment against the 40-year-old Albanian murderer from Volos is shocking, as it describes minute by minute the dramatic last moments of the woman, who was trying to escape his rage.
Zougla.gr reveals what happened in the first-floor apartment on the fateful day and the 36-year-old mother's anxiety to escape.
"She ran to save herself"
It all started with a fight. The description is shocking:
"You took a knife from a baking set that was on the balcony of the apartment and started following her, first inside the apartment, even breaking the wooden kitchen door, which your wife tried to close unsuccessfully, in order to isolate you on the balcony, and then inside the apartment, where she fled for her life, realizing the danger to her life, and specifically on the stairs and in the corridor of the building, where you finally caught her."
The sequel is even more shocking, as the couple's young son tries to save his mother from his father's rage:
“Despite your 13-year-old minor child's attempts to stop you, you caused serious injuries to key parts of her body, particularly her neck and ribs, with the hilt of the knife you were holding, leaving her bleeding on the ground.”
The unfortunate woman was abandoned by the perpetrator, who then used the pliers he was holding to break the glass entrance to the palace.
"After you went through this box, you ran away from the scene, with the knife in your hand, which has not yet been found, to avoid arrest."
"I don't remember my son holding my hand"
The perpetrator, who had been hiding for many hours, claimed in his defense that... he got confused.
"I apologize to my entire family. She was the mother of my children. She hurt me a lot. She told me that the child I aborted was not mine. Then I got confused and didn't understand anything about how it happened. I didn't follow her. I only remember going out onto the balcony, where I went, after that I don't remember anything. The one we used for baking was on the balcony. I took the knife I took from the balcony to threaten her if what she said was true. I threw it on the street near the house, I don't remember where. The eldest daughter came and saw me in prison. I don't remember my son trying to hold my hand"
In his apology, he also mentioned the psychiatric problems he faces, and even revealed the suicide attempt he made in June, with his son saving him at the last moment. However, evidence shows that the unfortunate woman lived a nightmare next to him with constant abuse.
