Fires continue to be active in Finiq and Mallakastër, while ground and air intervention is underway to curb their spread.
In Finiq, where the intensity of the wind contributed to the reactivation and spread of the fires during the night, the 120 operational forces on the ground have been joined since the morning by two Swedish aircraft provided by the European Civil Protection Mechanism EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid and an Air Force helicopter.
Combined ground and air intervention has protected homes and created a security perimeter in Dhivër and Janicat. All efforts are now being made to contain the outbreak and protect homes in the Navaricë - Memoraq and Rumanxë perimeter, and increased vigilance in the Leshnica area.
Meanwhile, on the heights of Bërzhita, where deliberate arson is suspected, the forces of the MZSHTirana are on the ground and currently there is no danger to the homes.
The situation nationwide remains dynamic as temperatures are expected to rise in the coming days. The Ministry of Defense has threatened residents with the law, stating that any arsonist will be dealt with with maximum force by the law.
