Minister of Health, Evis Sala, appeared before journalists today after a government meeting to announce a decision which, according to her, will improve the situation of medicines in hospitals.
The minister's words were carefully chosen to say nothing about how this problem will actually be solved, and equally impressive were her statements about accepting the lack of medicines as normal.
'There have been shortages of medicines, but there have always been fewer and fewer. We aim for shortages to be... so to speak, there should be no shortages. We are all involved together to solve concrete problems as a whole,' said Minister Sala.
She was asked by journalists that in our hospitals, after the 20th of the month, basic tests for patients are no longer performed, and Minister Sala's surprising answer was that she would solve this problem with research methods within a year.
'The power of data is very great and we have collected the data, because without it we cannot conduct analyses. Analyses should not be lacking. We are addressing this and will resolve it within this year.'
In conclusion, to all those who fall ill after the 20th of each month, we wish you luck in the private sector, and if you are lucky enough to fall ill before this date, there may still be funds available for you.
