The call for a protest against high fuel prices, scheduled for this Monday afternoon in front of the Prime Minister's Office, ended in an almost negligible gathering. Instead of a massive reaction, only a few activists and a small number of citizens were seen in the square, while the presence of media vehicles seemed to be greater than that of the protesters.
The rally was announced through social media by civil society representatives and activists from the "Albania Becomes" Movement, who had called on citizens to unite to oppose high oil prices and demand their reduction.
However, at the location where the protest was planned, in front of the prime minister's office, there were mainly police officers, some activists, and media teams waiting for developments that did not come.
