Students of the "Sulejman Delvina" high school protested today in front of the Delvina Police Station, following a serious incident that occurred at their school. The protest comes after a clash between two students that ended with the use of a knife, where one of them was hit in the shoulder.
According to the students, the problematic situation at the school has been reported several times to the principal, but no concrete measures have been taken to prevent its escalation. Although it has been acknowledged that one of the students had problematic behavior, they say that no timely intervention was made to avoid the incident.
The incident began inside the school premises and then escalated after the students left the premises. According to the students' testimonies, parents were not informed of the incident and the student involved was allowed to leave the school before the end of the school day. They claim that this situation has been repeated on other occasions, creating a sense of insecurity among the students.
The students say that the school administration has not been fair in handling such cases, allowing the student who caused the conflict to leave school at five o'clock, while the teaching process is conducted with six hours of teaching. According to them, tolerance and the lack of preventive measures have created an unsafe climate within the school community.
They demand that the relevant institutions investigate the incident and take concrete measures to guarantee the safety of students, emphasizing that ignoring problematic situations does not solve them, but on the contrary can lead to even more serious consequences.
