Following the suicide of a 72-year-old woman from the terrace of the Gjirokastër Nursing Home, investigations have been launched into the director and head nurse of the institution.
Dorjana Demo, 50 years old, director of the Nursing Home, and Dhurata Zholi, 52 years old, head caregiver, were referred to the prosecutor's office for the criminal offenses of "Violation of occupational safety regulations" and "Abuse of office".
Following the actions in this case, MH, 37 years old, resident of Gjirokastra, working as a nurse at the Gjirokastra Regional Hospital, was also referred to the prosecutor's office, after failing to notify law enforcement agencies that the 72-year-old woman had lost her life, even though she was aware that investigations had been launched into the case.
