In the pediatric service at the QSUT, parents and children face inadequate waiting conditions, due to the lack of benches and sufficient seating space.
At a time when seasonal viruses have significantly increased the number of visits and hospitalizations of children, the flow to this service has increased significantly. As a result, many parents and minors are forced to stand for long periods while waiting for a visit, test, or medical service.
VNA has obtained a photo from the waiting area, which shows parents with small children in their arms, forced to wait standing due to a lack of seats.
According to parents, the situation becomes even more difficult for young children, those who are sick or have a fever, who need minimal comfort while waiting. They emphasize that the lack of basic infrastructure in such a sensitive service as pediatrics constitutes a serious problem and requires urgent intervention from the responsible institutions.
The increase in virus cases and the overload of health services are highlighting not only the need for more medical personnel and capacity, but also for dignified reception conditions for children and their families.
