
The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices, which measures price increases according to the methodology of the 'European Statistical Agency', in July 2025 was recorded at 2.4%.
Official data shows that the average inflation in Europe is estimated at 2.4% and Albania is also seen positioned at this limit for the month of July, which means that currently prices in our country are the same as the European average. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the countries with the highest price rate in Europe throughout July of this year are Romania with 6.6%, Estonia with 5.6% as well as Montenegro and Serbia with 4.7% and 5% respectively.
If we analyze price increases by countries in the region, the figures show that Albania is positioned with the lowest inflation with some of its neighbors in the region, including North Macedonia and Kosovo, where for the month of July they recorded a price increase rate of 4.6% and 4.3%.
Meanwhile, if we talk about the annual change of the groups, we see that the largest price increase of 12% is observed in the group "Entertainment and culture", followed by the groups "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" and "Hotels, cafes and restaurants" with 3.3% each. "Furniture, household equipment and maintenance" with 2.7%, "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" with 1.8%, "Educational services" and "Miscellaneous goods and services" with 1.6% each, "Communication" with 1.4%, "Health" with 1%, "Clothing and footwear" with 0.4%, "Rent, water, fuel and energy" with 0.3%.
