Prime Minister Edi Rama, in presenting the program for the Justice Center's international competition, did not spare irony with judges and prosecutors.
In his speech, Rama said that the government's effort to support justice will not stop, he said between jokes that "it is time for us all to go to detention for abuse of office."
"This is an effort that does not stop and does not turn back, despite the surprises you give us from time to time, but which are part of your life and internal processes and the growth of the new system that requires its own head to approve. To close this, this is the ideal case, because you are now involved, for us to go to detention for abuse of office," said the Prime Minister.
But unlike what the government says it will support justice, with the issue of the deputy prime minister, Edi Rama is showing the opposite, as they are becoming its obstacle. Moreover, in recent days there have been rumors of changes in laws to protect government officials from SPAK investigations. This information has circulated in the media and has not yet been confirmed or denied by the majority.
Therefore, to be more credible, the Prime Minister must put aside the ironies, and support justice with concrete actions by maintaining the same standard for the corrupt who are investigated by SPAK. In this way, he will not be surprised, because more than anyone, he knows well that whoever abuses his office deserves prison.
