Sali Berisha has started working on rallies abroad, given that those in Tirana are still not shaking Edi Rama's government. In a Facebook post, Berisha says that today he met with representatives of the diaspora, where he spoke to them about the current government, which he calls a dictatorial regime that has gone too far to the national detriment.
The leader of the DP says that he spoke to those present about the massive emigration of Albanians, the decline in the population, the protection of the corrupt, and the high number of administration employees, who, according to him, the regime prevents their children from protesting.
Since Albanians within the country are still not uniting against the government, the leading democrat called on those outside the borders to unite and not see this as a party battle, but as a battle for the existence of Albania.
Berisha has called for a mobilization near Albanian embassies and international institutions, while stating that the battle is completely winnable.
Although 5 years have passed since his de jure return to the head of the DP, during which he called the battle easy and winnable, this has only been realized in Berisha's rhetoric. Today, Albanians enjoy the government of Edi Rama in his fourth supermandate, with the hope of any change from the opposition extinguished and with emigration still as a solution for the future.
However, let's hope that Berisha's next act of protesting in front of embassies will truly shake up Edi Rama's government and not end with just the replacement of Elisa Spiropali, who has initiated profound reforms in Albanian diplomacy after the criticism she received from her boss.
