61-year-old Bardhyl Fusha, who was arrested after robbing the FiBank branch on Thursday afternoon in Tirana, told investigators that he had around 70 million lek in old debts and had been unable to repay his workers.
Fusha turns out to be an entrepreneur in the construction field and stated that he was forced to take such an act due to debts. "I chose to rob FiBank because I had gone there on other occasions to make payments," Fusha said.
Bardhyl Fusha went to the bank branch in the area of the former bus park and as soon as he entered the premises, he fired a gun at the suspected employees to get them to leave. According to the dynamics of the incident, he approached one of the cash registers and took an amount of 8 million old lek and put it in his bag.
Fusha was unable to leave the bank after being arrested. He was originally from Gramsh, but lived in Tirana in a rented house.
