Democratic Party MP Gjin Gjoni declared that the protest called by the opposition on February 20 will be "much more powerful" than previous rallies, warning of a change in strategy and escalation of political action.
He said that all possible scenarios are being considered, including the siege of institutions and the introduction of MPs on hunger strike. "The protest will be completely different, because the temperature will be rising. All scenarios are being considered," said Gjoni, adding that the ignition of a "partisan fire" is not ruled out.
According to him, the protest will not remain just in the square, but there will be other alternatives of action. However, he emphasized that every step must have a solution in the end and that the current situation in the country, according to the opposition, requires a strong reaction.
John called for Western chancelleries and international media to be informed about what he described as a grave situation in Albania, citing high levels of criminality, corruption and state capture.
