Ervin Salianji held a meeting with the Democrats in Berat, once again challenging the line set by Sali Berisha and demanding reflection within the Democratic Party. In a statement with critical tones, he stressed that the party should open the race and respect the statute, according to which the chairman must resign if he does not lead the DP to victory.
Salianji criticized figures who, according to him, continue to hold office despite repeated losses, while underlining that there have also been cases of success in traditionally left-wing areas that have not been appreciated. He rejected the accusations against his meetings, stating that the Democrats demand honesty and real competition.
At a time when tensions within the opposition are once again on the rise, Ervin Salianji has chosen to continue his round of meetings with the Democrats, this time in the city of Berat, giving a clear message to the leadership of the Democratic Party of Albania: without reflection and without fair competition, the party cannot return victorious.
The meeting in Berat follows a series of talks that Salianji has held in various cities across the country, a move that is seen as a direct challenge to the line set by Sali Berisha. Salianji himself has emphasized that these meetings aim to “make the Democratic Party a winner,” insisting on the need for internal reorganization and openness.
